Primarily Telehealth Practice
Most services are offered remotely, meaning you will be meeting me (via your computer or phone) in the comfort of your own home or other private space of your choosing. We will be using a telehealth platform called SimplePractice. Before we meet the first time I set up a client portal for you and, through that, send links to appointments. You would click on the appointment link from your PC, laptop, or phone, and we would hold sessions via our shared screens.
For the past several years I have offered primarily telehealth appointments. I and the majority of my clients have found this modality to be effective, allowing for the same intimate and safe counseling relationship to form as when meetings are in-person. Additionally, most clients find it extremely convenient, as they need not travel to and from the appointment, and need not miss appointments due to weather or personal factors.
If you are certain that you prefer meeting in-person only, I respect your choice but I cannot be your provider.
Confidentiality is important, and so it is necessary that you, each time we meet, find a quiet, private space in which to participate in the session.
Please note that professional licensure rules specify that clients must be located in New York State during each therapy session.
On occasion, you or I may want to meet in-person. On those occasions we would meet in my office, located in the Caldwell Building on Main Street in Williamsville.
